Tips for Healthier Eyes

Eye problems could arise from nutritional deficiencies or they could be a symptom of problems elsewhere in the body.

For example blurring of vision could be due to high blood pressure or diabetes, under eyes dark circles could be due to anemia, yellowing of the eyes due to jaundice.

Recommendations for healthy eyes:

•    Drink a glass of carrot juice everyday. It is rich in vitamin a, calcium, iron and a whole lot of essential nutrients which help to detoxify the body and cleanse the blood.

•    The Omega-3 fats contained in cod liver oil can prove very beneficial for improving eyesight.

•    Eliminate sugar and maid-based products from diet completely e.g. cakes, bananas, pizza, burgers etc.

•    Exposure to sunlight is of great value in relaxing strained muscles of the eyes. The best way is to close your eyes and face the sun for about 10 minutes at a time twice a day. This effect helps to draw blood towards the eyes and relaxes the strained muscles and nerves.

•    Splash your eyes with cold water at least three times a day. This helps to tome up the surrounding muscle considerably.

•    Use natural foods like green vegetables, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, fresh fruits, whole grains etc.

•    Exercise daily by looking for few seconds at a very close to you object, then at something that is very far from you.

•    When working or sitting at the computer don’t ‘forget’ to blink so that the eyes to get enough moisture preventing thus red eyes and fatigue.

•    Good sun protection is a must and don’t neglect buying qualitative sunglasses.

•    If eyes problems is something you’ve got with genes, don’t neglect exercising daily. Daily exercises have been proven to aid to any eyes condition.
